This Friday, the National Government, through the Ministry of Transportation, recognized the importance of one of border crossings with Venezuelathis as the central axis of the economy between both countries: the Tienditas bridge.

“Thanks to constant and joint work between the Governments of Colombia and Venezuela, we are ready to open the Tienditas International Bridge, which will not only improve connectivity between the two countries, but will also be the opportunity to increase trade and the union of both. towns”, indicates the entity.

It is worth remembering that this work was completed in 2016, but due to diplomatic conflicts between countries since 2015, which led to the closure of several border crossingshas not been released “To guarantee the safety of users, technical visits have been carried out to confirm the state of the bridge”, reviewed by the National Government.

The Tienditas bridge is located between Ureña, Táchira State, and Cúcuta, Department of Norte de Santander, and will connect the Villa Silvania sector in Colombia with Tienditas in Venezuela.

Each of the structures is made up of a bridge of successive voussoirs 280.4 m long with a central span of 140 m and compensated cantilevers of 70 m each.
