Colombia, Venezuela and Bolivia led this Sunday the last day of the gym in the XIX Bolivarian Games of Valleduparwhere the gold medals were distributed in the rhythmic and trampoline tests.

The first competition of the day was won by the Colombian Lina Dussán in the hoop test with a score of 29,500, while the silver went to her compatriot Vanessa Galindo with 27,000 points and the Venezuelan Sophia Isabela Fernández got the bronze with 25,300 points.

In baseball, Galindo got the second gold for the locals by obtaining a rating of 26,400 points to beat Dussán. She this she won silver with a score of 25,600, and Chilean Javiera Rubilar, bronze by reaching 25,550 units.

To put another high point in the day, the Colombian Galindo added a new gold in the club test with a presentation that gave her 26,800 points. The Bolivian Cibelle González experienced an important moment by winning silver with 22,800 units. For her part, while the Venezuelan Isabella Bellizzio completed the podium after receiving 22,700 qualification.

On tape, the Venezuelan María Waleska Ojeda exhibited a routine that captivated the judges and received 24,300 points to take the gold. She was followed by the Chilean Rubilar, who reached silver, and by the Colombian Galindo, third place with 23,500.

Venezuela also shone collectively with its gold in the five-ring event after an impressive presentation that gave it 23,350 points. The silver went to Colombia with a score of 19,400 and the bronze went to Guatemala with 19,000 units.

To seal the high, the Venezuelan team flowed again to win the gold in 3 ribbons + 2 balls by registering 18,450 points. Colombia finished second with 16,900 and Guatemala was third with 13,600.

“These golds represent a lot. We have been with good results this day. The first day in preliminaries did not go well for us due to the problem of the breeze. Our routines have a lot of throws and complex things, and maybe that didn’t help us. We still have some details that we have to consolidate, but I am happy because it has been an important competition,” coach Marly Rojas, of the Venezuelan team, told Efe.

Colombia, historical in groups

The previous day had already left Colombia with two Bolivarian titles, the first came with Lina Dussán’s gold in the individual general, by obtaining 100,200. Her compatriot Vanessa Galindo, with 96,950 units, obtained silver and Chilean Javiera Rubliar, bronze with 88,800 points.

In the group modality, the locals also stood out by achieving 134,500 points to climb to the top of the podium. Guatemala added 112,600 to win silver and Venezuela was bronze with 101,800.

“Achieving this medal is important. It’s historic. It is a totally new modality and we are already achieving results. The work was reflected and we achieved the highest score. We are walking for the right thing,” Mariangel Balza, coach of the team that represented Colombia, told Efe.

Trampoline gives first gold to Bolivia

In trampoline gymnastics, the men’s individual competition was dominated by Colombia, which made it 1-2 with Ángel Hernández with 54,060 points and Álvaro Calero (53,280), while Dominican Junior Zapata finished third (50,260).

In the women’s individual, the gold medal was won by the Colombian Katish Hernández (50.970), followed by the Bolivian Mariana Espejo (44.430) and the Venezuelan Rebeca Cordero (43.680).

Those synchronized in the women’s branch gave Bolivia the first gold in the Bolivarianos de Valledupar with the duo made up of Espejo and Anahí Rocha with 24,860 points. The silver went to the Colombian couple Hernández and Isabel Cárdenas (12,500) and the Venezuelans Cordero and Sol Lobo finished with bronze (4,460).
