This is a proposal that is being implemented in at least 1,103 municipalities and also in 3 departmental inspections. The government indicates that it currently has more than 1,698,000 beneficiaries who received these subsidies from the Colombian State.

What is the step-by-step process for registering for Colombia Mayor?
1. The interested party must appear at the mayor’s office of their municipality with their identification document in physical format. If they live in Bogotá, they can go to the office for assistance to senior citizens.
2. During the process, a representative will verify the age, after which a form will be filled out with the corresponding information, which will be recorded in the entity’s database.

3. The system will then verify whether the interested party meets the requirements to be a beneficiary of this program.
4. It is important to note that to be eligible, the citizen must meet the following requirements: be Colombian, be at least three years younger than the age established for collecting a pension, and be included in the cut-off point of Sisbén IV.

How much money will beneficiaries of the Colombia Mayor program receive?
Authorities have reported that beneficiaries of this program will receive approximately $80,000 pesos per month. Additionally, in the case of Bogotá, these beneficiaries could receive an extra amount provided by the District.
