'Colombia is open for business and investment': Duque

Within the framework of the welcome to the 90th edition of the ProColombia Business Roundtable, President Iván Duque extended an invitation to businessmen to choose Colombia as their investment destination taking advantage of the natural characteristics of the country and the path of economic reactivation and vaccination that has been demonstrated since 2021.

(More than 4,300 entrepreneurs showed interest in learning to export).

“I want to invite you to make this Macro Roundtable historic in terms of business, so that you can meet, see the offer, materialize it, because Colombia today is open for business, for investment, and Colombia is undergoing the greatest transformation in its history: the to be a competitive, dynamic, technological, resilient and, above all, carbon neutral country”, said the national president.

The business meeting will be held in person on March 28 and 29 in Medellín and on March 31 and April 1 in Cali. The event will have the participation of 2,000 exporters and 1,000 international buyers.

(Colombia obtained recognition for innovation in tourism).

The United States will be the guest country at the business fair, very much in line with this year’s commemoration of 200 years of relations between the world’s leading power and Colombia. In addition, it will also be used to celebrate the 30 years of the national promotion agency.

In this Government, ProColombia has carried out three multisectoral macro-rounds in which more than 4,000 Colombian companies have participated, generating business for nearly 730 million dollars, between immediate business and sales expectations.
