Exports of Colombian agricultural products have increased in the first half of the year. According to a statement from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of the previous government, international sales of the entire sector increased by 38.8% and among the representative products is floriculture.
Between January and June 2022, according to data from the National Administrative Department of Statistics (Dane), with analysis by ProColombia, the flowers have exported US$1.2 million27.3% more than in the same period of 2021, when sales abroad reached US$952,999.

According to the entities, among the main importing countries of the Colombian product in the first semester are: United States, nation that represented the majority of the export with a sale of US$996,613; followed by Canada, which invoiced US$30,928, and the United Kingdom in third place with US$27,489.
Likewise, it was exported to the Netherlands with US$27,665, Japan presented US$25,346, as did Spain with US$9,394, Poland with US$10,270 and Russia with sales of US$11,889.
