The Colombia Women’s U-17 National Team advanced to the semifinals of the tournament that takes place in India after beating their counterpart from Tanzania 3-0.

Very quickly, their star striker, Linda Caicedo from Cali, opened the scoring for the national team, recently nominated for Best Player of the Year in the Globe Soccer Awards and who already has 4 goals in the orbital tournament.

After 3 minutes, the Colombian inflated the net of the Tanzanian goal and excited the coffee fans with a promising classification.

Then Yesica Muñoz and Gabriela Rodríguez, put the 2-0 and 3-0 that stoned the aspirations of the African team to advance to the next round.

Despite the victory achieved and the celebration for continuing to make history in the World Cup, the team is concerned about Linda Caicedo’s injury.

The #11 of the coffee team had to leave the game in the second half after a strong clash with a rival player.

It should be noted that the Deportivo Cali soccer player is key in Professor Paniagua’s scaffolding and it is expected that she can recover for the next duel to be played on the 26th of this month against Nigeria, a very fast and strong African team.

In the other quarterfinal brackets, Germany beat Brazil and advanced to the semifinals, while Japan and Spain will meet in the next few hours in the last game of this qualifying round.
