He also explained that as of the aforementioned date, the decree that eliminates the application for the vaccination card for public and private events of a massive nature is repealed; just as this requirement is eliminated to enter bars, gastropubs, nightclubs, cinemas, libraries, museums and sporting events.

He explained that biosafety measures were also repealed with the exception of those related to health systems and services, detailing that the Testing, Tracking and Sustainable Selective Isolation (Prass) strategy will no longer be implemented.

Iván Duque said about tourists who want to enter Colombia that if they do not have a double vaccination schedule, they will be required to have a negative PCR test with a maximum of 72 hours or an antigen test with a validity of 48 hours.

He asserted that in Colombia, after the application of the vaccination program, they have already reached 83% of citizens with at least one dose of vaccines against covid-19 “and we are a few days away from reaching 70% of the country with double doses” .

He explained that 11.2 million Colombians with reinforcement doses, while stressing that from May 1 to June 30 the health emergency in the neighboring country will be extended.

The coronavirus pandemic has so far left 6,091,343 infections and 139,778 deaths in Colombia, according to figures from the Ministry of Health.
