“As of January 1, 2023, we will be completely opening the border between Colombia and Venezuela. It will be a great gift for our peoples! We are going to fulfill everything we announced together with President Petro”, Maduro wrote on his Twitter account.
It is necessary to point out that As of this Thursday, December 15, the vehicular passage through the Tienditas bridge will be enabled, one of the three binational bridges and that was yet to be inaugurated. Trucks with merchandise have already been passing through the other two official border crossings since last September.
It is also worth noting that, acurrently, the passage between both nations is only done on foot.

In this way, all that remains is to adjust the normalization of the commercial air operation between the two countries that, despite being inaugurated, still does not have a constant supply and demand and the authorization to the airlines of both countries is lacking from the respective government control entities.
