This Wednesday, March 1, the Minister of Agriculture, Cecilia López, received a delegation from the Republic of Korea who has experience in land and cadastre issues. The objective is to draw up a road map to start a bilateral cooperation program to strengthen the implementation of the comprehensive rural reform in Colombia.

The Korean mission, headed by Kwon Taek Ryoun, Director General of Technological Cooperation of the Korea Rural Development Administration, will spend two days learning about the progress of comprehensive rural reform, punctually in the components of formalization, access to land and cadastre.
“This reform is a historical transformation due to the changes in the agrarian social structure that are proposed to correct the inequitable concentration of rural property. For this reason, knowing the experiences of Korea will be fundamental in the commitment of our Government to benefit the rural population, thus generating greater development for agriculture in our country.”, assured Minister López.
The portfolio manager also said that this permit to strengthen topographic surveys because in the Republic of Korea they have experience that allowed them an optimal distribution of land and promoted positive development for the economy.

The Korean mission is made up of delegates from the Rural Development Administration, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, National Forest Service, Land and Geospatial Information Corporation, Real Estate Board of Directors and Embassy of the Republic of Korea In colombia.
