According to the results of the survey ‘Transformation with digital meaning 2022: A new rhythm in the digital maturity of Latin America’, prepared by the EY firm, focused on audit services, the countries with the greatest digital maturity are Ecuador (64.67 points), Chile (62.73) and Mexico (62.11); especially due to the level of progress in the financial sector and the consumer sector.

Colombia, for its part, stood out in the same levels of digital maturity compared to the previous year (60.55 points), occupying the fourth position.
At the regional level, the report specified that Latin America is located at a maturity level of 61.16 on a 100-point scale. This average value places Latin America in the range of “in the development of digital capacities”.
However, compared to the responses of business leaders, 53% of respondents confirmed that they have allocated more budget for digital transformation, “with the aim of increasing the number of initiatives, executing specific projects, incorporating talent and adopting methodologies to accelerate the changes demanded by the market”.
42% stated that they had invested more with the intention of simplifying and making processes more efficient; 37% invested due to customer demand and to offer more value, while 15% of participants said they invested for a change in strategy.

In addition, the report showed that companies with revenues of more than 500 million dollars per year have a considerably higher level of digital maturity than the rest of the businesses in the region.
