The commission of prosecutors investigating the death of the Fassil bank controller, Carlos Alberto Colodro, took the statement to ten people to search for more clues about his death. The most striking testimony is that of a security guard, who accompanied Colodro to his office, located on the 15th floor of the Ambassador, located in the Equipetrol area.
“The statements contribute to the investigations, for example, it is known that (until the morning) two work colleagues of the deceased person have provided their testimony. Also two other people who worked as security guards and (it is known) a female person, who was close to the deceased today,” Róger Mariaca, departmental prosecutor, reported Monday.
According to the investigation booklet, which was known to EL DEBER, the two guards who provided their informative statement were working at the Ambassador Building on Saturday, May 27, when Fassil’s controller fell and lost his life.
One of the security officials, who was outside, saw Colodro arrive alone and carrying a backpack. She greeted him and let him enter the building, since a few days ago he had installed his office in that place.
This guard reports that did not notice anything strange in the behavior of the controller, which coincides with his colleague, who was the last person to see him alive and helped him up the elevator to the 15th floor.
According to this second guard, Colodro was calm and during the minutes that he spent with him in the elevator, they didn’t exchange many words, apart from greeting him and agreeing to take him up to his office, since he was completing his first day of work in that place.
It was already after 5:00 p.m. (Saturday), as the guard recalled, when Colodro arrived at the Ambassador building and He found out that he had fallen after 20:00, because his colleague who was outside warned him.
The guard says that did not hear any abnormal noise from inside the building during the more than two hours that the inspector remained inside. In addition, he avoided giving further statements regarding Colodro’s routine, arguing that he worked for the first time in the building on the day of the event.
In addition, the woman close to the Fassil controller commented that I was unaware of the activities made by the deceased on the day of his death, stating that he had not seen him on the afternoon of Saturday, May 27.
In the morning, three other Colodro colleagues also testified and during the afternoon another five people gave their testimony, making a total of ten witnesses who testified by way of information. None were apprehendedsince they are not as investigated.
Among the most outstanding testimonies, these last witnesses indicate that they met with Colodro after noon on Saturday in another building that is also located in the Equipetrol area. They indicated that they only dealt with work issues and that the auditor left the place alone, after 4:00 p.m.
Now, the commission of prosecutors investigates that carried out by Carlos Alberto Colodro in the more than two hours that he was alone in his office on the 15th floor and if at that time he wrote the posthumous letter that was found in his diary, or if it had already been written.
However, the family of the deceased, through their lawyer, ruled out that this letter was written by him, since they see a difference in the letter and in the way of relating the sentences.
The prosecutor Mariaca and the Minister of Government, Eduardo Del Castillo, indicated, separately, that They are conducting graphological studies and a psychological autopsy to this letter to confirm if it was written by Colodro. These results are expected to be released on Tuesday, May 30.
Parallel to these analyses, the images collected from the building’s 64 surveillance cameras are also being unfolded. In the first reviews, Colodro is observed arriving alone at the building with his backpack, which confirms the version of the security guards that they were on duty.
