A serious traffic accident, which occurred this Sunday in the city of Barinas, left six people injured, including the regional head of the Educational Zone, Marly Aparicio, and two officials from her team.
The incident occurred in the rural population of El Corozo, Domingo Ortiz de Páez parish, Barinas municipality.
According to agency sources, Aparicio was traveling in a vehicle accompanied by the president of the Barinas State Buildings and Educational Endowments Foundation, the dispatch coordinator and a member of the Bolivarian National Guard to Socopó, Antonio José de Sucre municipality.
According to the authorities’ report, they collided head-on with another vehicle, leaving the balance of six injured.
A Frontier brand Nissan pickup and a Cruze brand Chevrolet were the vehicles involved.
Commissions of the Bolivarian National Police and the Fire Department arrived at the site and transferred the victims to the Dr. Luis Razetti hospital.
It was learned that Aparicio suffered a fractured tibia and fibula, the other officials of the Educational Zone are stable receiving the required medical attention.
