Face-to-face classes were suspended this Monday, October 10, in all the study centers of Basic, Middle and Higher Education in the country, after the passage of Hurricane Julia, downgraded to a tropical storm.
The Ministry of Education (Mined) reported the measure will be applied in all public and private schools in correspondence with the red alert declaration issued by the national authorities on the afternoon of this Sunday, October 9, shortly before the tropical storm leaves the country.
Private schools had already told the student community that due to weather conditions there will be no classes tomorrow.
In turn, the Central American University (UCA) informed the university community that, due to the effects on the national territory as a result of the passage of Hurricane Julia, all face-to-face classes scheduled on campus for this Monday are suspended, for all levels.

We have several rivers that are going to take a few hours to lower the level they have at this moment (…) in such a way that we all must take all the necessary precautions. Precisely, the idea of suspending classes is that the boys preferably stay at home, not go out if it is not necessary, “said the co-director of Sinapred, Guillermo González.
