In the midst of the political crisis, the Coalición Ciudadana collective sued the government of Dina Boluarte and to Congress of the republic that they assume their political responsibilities in the face of the crisis and agree on four basic points: advancement of general elections for this year, approval of urgent electoral measures, rigorous investigation into those who died during the protests and the promotion of a dialogue process national.
In a pronouncement that bears the title Citizen voice is mandatoryCitizen Coalition recalled having worked some time ago on a consensual and concrete proposal on essential political reforms.
“The politicians did not listen. Pedro Castillo’s self-coup had to take place, more than fifty deaths and an anarchic scenario for them to start discussing. Until today he does not approve anything ”, he underlines.
The document -which comes to light one day after the Parliament’s Constitution Committee approved, by majority, postponing until July the debate on the Executive reform project to advance the elections to October-, criticizes the government and the Congress of the Republic that, he says, “have not been able to offer a viable solution to the current crisis.”

“Far from avoiding the precipice, they fuel the conflict. Polarization, insult and illegality have taken over the country. And dissatisfaction with democracy is growing resoundingly, ”she adds.
Likewise, the group expresses its identification with those who protest peacefully, its support for the forces of order “who seek to protect us”, but expresses its rejection of those who commit vandalism and “violence for political or criminal purposes”.
“We reject those politicians who take advantage of the chaos for their mercantilist, ideological or personal interests,” he concludes.
