One dead and at least five injured left the collapse of a parking lot in lower Manhattan, in New York City.
According to the chief of the New York City Fire Department, John Esposito, four of the injured were taken to the hospital and a fifth person refused to receive medical attention.
He stressed that the fire department began the search for people on foot but due to the danger of the rescue, the work was suspended until they had suitable equipment.
They later said dogs, drones and robots were being used to move around parts of the building while awaiting a structural evaluation of the building.
