The property adjacent to the “La Dominica” hotel in the Matanzas province lost the top after giving its firmness.

At the time of the collapse were three citizens inside the building. One of them suffered injuries.
The damage to electricity is considerable consequence of the fall of the facade of the upper floor of the building. The collapse of this part left a high voltage line and other secondary line.
“The Hotel La Dominica has not suffered any damage,” says the report.
On the other hand, the property still has a column potential, clarified the forces of the Cárdenas Fire Command after evaluating the state of the affected building.
In that sense, the danger of collapse persists both inside, as in the lateral wall opposed to “the Dominican.”
The situation of housing in Cuba is critical. According to official dataat the end of 2024, only 65% of homes in the country were in good technical condition, which implies that the remaining 35% were in regular or bad conditions.
