He People’s Bank Dominican and the technology company Microsoft renewed their collaboration agreement to continue promoting the banking entity’s leadership in the digital transformation of the financial servicesexpanding the offering of consulting and technological products for its clients, with cloud storage solutions, collaborative work, computer equipment and, above all, applications in the field of advanced data analysis and Artificial intelligence (AI) Generative.
This agreement with Microsoft is a unique collaboration in the entire financial sector of the insular Caribbean and, thanks to it, the People’s Bank will continue to promote the digital competitiveness of small Dominican businesses and enterprises, which will be able to simplify and accelerate their digital adoption processes and develop the digital skills of their collaborators, the financial entity indicates in a press release.
“The implementation of these new analytics technologies advanced data processing and Generative AI will translate into more robust proposals for clients to improve their internal processes, their level of innovation and access to cutting-edge cloud technologies,” the document says.
The agreement was signed in Popular Towerheadquarters of the banking entity, in an event headed by Christopher Paniaguaexecutive president of Popular, and Alberto Arciniega, president of Microsoft Latin America.
Digital leadership for the benefit of the client
Paniagua expressed his satisfaction with the expansion of this collaboration and stressed that “it will allow us to continue maintaining the digital leadership in the financial services in the Dominican Republic and continue with our prominent role in the country and the region, while helping our clients take advantage of these new emerging technologies, hand in hand with a market leader such as Microsoft“.
