Colegio Monseñor Francisco Beckmann must use the $455,300 from FECE for repairs

Student teachers and parents of the Monseñor Francisco Beckmann School, located in the educational region of Panamá Norte, met with the Minister of Education, Maruja Gorday de Villalobos, and her work team in order to provide proposals and solutions to various issues educational.

Minister Gorday de Villalobos reported that “the investment project has a scope of 80% in terms of the final plans and the specifications. And it is expected that, in August, the public act for a tender of around 16 million balboas that contemplates the construction of two new pavilions will be raised.

He stressed that, to advance in minor repairs, the available money must be used and that the classrooms have chairs and desks. It will also be possible to repair the bathrooms, paint and use the water fountains.

Through the Regional Directorate of Education of North Panama, the use of the Fund for Equity and Quality of Education (FECE) will be managed, since the school center has a game of 455,300 balboas that must be used to improve the school.

The Ministry of Education reported that FECE resources can be used by the directors of official schools in the country, to guarantee the minimum essential conditions and that the teaching-learning process develops with equity and quality.

In the dialogue held by the different authorities at the school, which serves approximately 4,500 high school students, issues related to the maintenance of the auditorium and classrooms, the sports field, administration, repair of toilets and installation of air conditioning units were discussed. and the use of the FECE.
