Coldplay sent gifts to children at the Simón Bolívar Hospital in Bogotá

On their return to Colombia and after the first of the two concerts they perform in Bogotá, representatives of the British band Coldplay visited the facilities of the hospital, Simón Bolívar.

The purpose of that visit was to give gifts to the boys and girls who are hospitalized in that care center, as well as to the Simón Bolívar health personnel, specialized in caring for burned people.

“The band wanted to donate some gifts to the people who work here and to the children. Although they would like to come, for different reasons they can’t, that’s why today we make this small gesture which is to donate some details (…) I’m very excited to be here today, it’s incredible”, said the representative of the band, Poppy Ogilvy

The District reported that during the tour, the delegates of the musical band handed out posters, hats, t-shirts and toys to the boys and girls who remain in the pediatric emergency room, the burn ward and the pediatric area of ​​the Simón Bolívar Hospital, as well as to the collaborators who work daily to save lives.”

The concert in Bogotá was part of the international tour of the band for their latest album “Music Of The Spheres”.

During the concert, thousands of citizens at the El Campín stadium sang with the group led by Chris Martin, several songs such as “Fix you”, “Yellow” or “Viva la Vida”, as well as other newer songs such as “My Universe “, “Higher power” or “Humankind”.

“Playing live and finding connection with people is ultimately the reason we exist as a band. We’ve been planning this tour for years and are so excited to play songs from all of our time together,” the band said on social media.

The opening act for the British group was Camila Cabello. However, for the concert in Buenos Aires (Argentina) who will accompany them will be the singer HER.
