The implementation of the cold line kitchen that will work in the City of Health, which will allow the preparation of between 1,500 and 6,000 thousand meals a day, with which hospital facilities in the metropolitan area can be supplied, is one of the actions to be implemented by the Social Security Fund (CSS), which were explained by the general director, Dr. Enrique Lau Cortés, to the ombudsman, Eduardo Leblanc.
During this meeting, it was highlighted that for the Administration of this social security entity, feeding patients is fundamental, because nutrition is an integral part of the medical treatments that are provided to people for their recovery.
Similarly, the Director General thanked the Ombudsman for his interest in learning about this situation, since external opinions help the work team to take greater care of those who really need it, for this reason, he has always asked its directors that “are located on the side of the patient, which is to whom we owe ourselves”.
In addition, he extended an invitation to the delegation from the Ombudsman’s Office to visit the facilities of the City of Health, especially the cold kitchen area, which is equipped with high-tech equipment.
