The cold chamber of the Río Haina Port averages 180 monthly reviews, all carried out maintaining the cold chain and the safety of the products

Cold room of the Haina River Portwhich is the first port terminal with an inspection chamber for perishable products in a controlled atmosphere, celebrates three years that it facilitates inspections of perishable products.

These facilities have made it possible to inspect more than 6,500 containersthat is, on average 180 monthly, all carried out maintaining the cold chain and the safety of the products.

On a daily basis, multiple containers loaded with dry, fresh and frozen foods are received and dispatched by the Rio Haina Port. When these are outlined for inspection by the authorities, they are carried out under the strictest safety, quality and innocuousness standards.

This ensures that end customers receive their goods as expected. With an investment of more than US$500,000, this chamber has an innovative state-of-the-art cooling system that guarantees 100% the conservation of perishable products, since each of the doors has a hermetic closing system that prevents the flow of air.
