According to the National Federation of Coffee Growers so far this year, the registered production of Colombian coffee fell 10%, to almost 8.2 million 60-kg bags of green coffee compared to the more than 9 million produced in the same period of 2021.

The union assured that by September, production decreased 31% to 834,000 60-kg bags compared to the more than 1.2 million produced in the same month of 2021.
On the other hand, it was estimated that in the last 12 months (October 2021-September 2022), which coincide with the coffee year, production reached 11.7 million bags13% less compared to the almost 13.4 million bags harvested in the previous period.

In terms of international trade, so far this year coffee exports decreased 6% touching the 8.6 million bags of 60 kg of green coffee compared to the more than 9.1 million bags placed on international markets a year ago.
According to the FNC, foreign sales for September fell 25% to 820,000 bags compared to the almost 1.1 million exported in the same month of the previous year.
