Coffee growers demand fair prices for their production, which allow them to maintain their productive units and continue to generate employment and development for the country. Internationally around $ 400 per bag and they receive less than half
Coffee producers in the country, represented by Fedeagro, denounced that national agribusiness is paying their production less than half of the price governing the international market.
They explained that the producers are forced to sell their coffee at prices well below the international average, which hinders their ability to cover production costs and obtain fair profits.
Vicente Pérez, director of the Café de Fedeagroreported that the current price of coffee bag in the international market is around $ 400.

However, in the country, agribusiness pays producers less than half of that amount, which represents a great disadvantage for Venezuelan coffee growers.
From Fedeagro they point out that the prices set by the agribusiness sector are generating a series of problems for coffee producers. The economic recession, the loss of jobs and the decrease in commercial activity are some of the direct consequences of this situation.
Given this problem, the Fedeagro representative reiterated that coffee producers demand fair prices for their production, that allow them to maintain their productive units and continue to generate employment and development for the country.
