The National Emergency Operations Center of the National Institute of Civil Defense reiterated this Wednesday, January 1, the short-term warning issued by the National Meteorology and Hydrology Service (Senamhi) due to the possible activation of streams in several regions of the country.
According to what they indicated in a publication in , Piura and Ucayali.
Senamhi indicated that this warning corresponded to the activation of streams associated with the rains forecast for the next 24 hours.
They also specify that the activation of streams are the rapid water flows and mass movements in streams or small basins resulting from the action of previous and current rains, as well as geological conditions.
Regarding the red level, they said that it represents a danger of the possibility of extremely severe streams due to intense rains.
Finally, they recommend reviewing emergency procedures and also rescheduling activities in areas exposed to the impact of stream activation.
