Santo Domingo, DR. – Emergency Operations Center (COE) announced the realization of an evacuation drill by earthquake this Thursday at 10:00 in the morning.
This essay seeks to guide and edify the population about the occurrence of an earthquake of 7.4 degrees.
Two thousand 500 public educational centers and 87 private ones are ready for the execution of the event. As well as more than two million people are registered.
The COE made the agency’s website available to the population so that those interested can have tools and instructions that allow them to create their earthquake contingency plan.
The director of the institution, Juan Manuel Méndez García, reported that on this occasion the call is for people to create and exercise a safe evacuation route and a specific meeting point, in case they have to experience an emergency caused by an earthquake.
