COE reports several accidents and 2 deaths at the beginning of Christmas

Santo Domingo. – He Emergency Operations Center (COE) reported this Tuesday, within the framework of the Christmas operation “Consciousness for Life 2024-2025”that two people died in traffic accidents related to motorcycles during the beginning of the festivities.

The director of the COE, Juan Manuel Mendezdetailed that the deceased were Ignatius Figuereo, 66 years old, and Wilvania Ogando De Los Santos27, whose deaths occurred outside the safety device deployed by the entity.

In your first newsletterhe COE reported a total of 15 accidents of transit that affected 19 people, in addition to having assisted 4,941 citizens.

Among the interventions carried out, 264 medical assistance and 4,677 road assistance.

The report also recorded 34 cases of poisoning alcoholic and 13 due to food poisoning, as part of the incidents attended to.

Of the traffic accidents reported, 12 involved motorcyclestwo light vehiclesand one corresponded to a run over.

He Ministry of Health urged the population to celebrate in moderation, avoid excess consumption of alcohol and food, and opt for healthy dinners based on fruits and vegetables to prevent poisoning during the festivities.

He operation will continue active to ensure the security and the immediate response to eventualities during the tchristmas season.
