Onamet pronostica: Vaguada trae lluvias hacia regiones

The National Meteorological Office (Onamet) forecast for today and tomorrow downpours, thunderstorms and gusts of wind towards the northeast, southeast, southwest, Cordillera Central and border regions.

Meteorology said those conditions will be caused by the arrival of a tropical wave and the effects of a trough in the upper levels of the troposphere and that the rains will be more intense in the early hours of the night.

Temperatures will continue to be hot, ranging between 32°C and 34°C, the maximum, and 23°C and 25°C, the minimum.

COE issues alert

Meanwhile, the Emergency Operations Center (COE) declared a green alert for Monte Plata, Hato Mayor, San Cristóbal, Sánchez Ramírez, San Pedro de Macorís, María Trinidad Sánchez, Duarte, La Vega, Monseñor Nouel, Espaillat, Mirabal Sisters, Santo Domingo and the National District, due to possible flash floods.
