Santo Domingo.- The Emergency Operations Center placed 12 provinces on green alert for possible flooding of rivers, streams and ravines, as well as flash or urban floods, because the downpours will continue due to a trough.
The provinces on green alert are: Monte Cristi, Santiago Rodríguez, Dajabón, Puerto Plata, Espaillat, Hermanas Mirabal, Santiago, Valverde, Greater Santo Domingo, San Cristóbal, San Pedro de Macorís and María Trinidad Sánchez.
It is recommended that people refrain from crossing rivers, streams and ravines that have a high volume of water and not use spas in the provinces under alert.
