COE maintains alert in Monte Plata and La Vega for possible floods

Because in the Dominican Republic the incidence of a trough southeast of the Dominican territorythe Emergency Operations Center (COE) reported this Tuesday that it maintains two provinces on green alert against possible flooding of rivers, streams and ravines, as well as floods sudden or urban.

The effects of the atmospheric phenomenon will be felt in the afternoon and evening hours with local downpours, as explained by the institution through its Twitter account.

The body indicates that Monte Plata and La Vega They are the only two provinces that appear with a meteorological alert.

In addition, it informs that it discontinues the restriction for the operators of fragile, small and medium-sized vessels, on the Atlantic coast and invites them to carry out their operations on a regular basis.

The Emergency Operations Center ordered the measure before the bulletin of this Tuesday of the National Weather Officewhich establishes that the waves have returned to normal on the Atlantic coast.
