The provinces on green alert are Monte Plata, Sánchez Ramírez, San José de Ocoa, Monseñor Nouel, Greater Santo Domingo, Duarte, San Cristóbal, María Trinidad Sánchez, San Pedro de Macorís and Samaná.
The COE recommended that people refrain from crossing rivers, streams and ravines that have a high volume of water or use spas in the provinces under alert.
