COE keeps more than 20 provinces on alert due to rain

Santo Domingo.- He Operations Center of Emergencies (COE) maintains under alert to more than 20 provinces due to the presence of cloudy clouds that generate downpours, detected in the satellite images and the weather radar.

The provinces in yellow alert are: La Vega, Monseñor Nouel, Samaná, San José de Ocoa, El Seibo and Hato Mayor.

In that same order, they remain in green alert to Sánchez Ramírez, Valverde, Santiago Rodríguez, Monte Cristi, Dajabón, San Pedro de Macorís, Puerto Plata, San Juan, Santiago, Duarte, San Cristóbal, Espaillat, Hermanas Mirabal, María Trinidad Sánchez, La Altagracia, Monte Plata, Santo Domingo and the National District.

In this sense, the meteorological entity It recommended that the population refrain from crossing rivers, streams and ravines that have high volumes of water in the provinces under alert.

Furthermore, in case of emergency, he urged citizens to contact the Civil Defense, the Armed Forces, the Red Cross, the National Police, the Fire Departments and with this Emergency Operations Center through the OGTIC telephone numbers *809-472-0909, 9-1-1 and 462.
