Santo Domingo.- The Emergency Operations Center (COE), issued this Thursday afternoon the green alert for five provinces due to possible flooding of rivers, streams and ravines, as well as flash or urban floods, because a trough will be in the east of the country .
The provinces on green alert ? are: San Cristóbal, Monsignor Nouel, Monte Plata, Gran Santo Domingo and Sánchez Ramírez.

Finally, the COE recommended that the population be attentive to alerts and keep informed by official organizations in the event of any eventuality.
Earlier, in its weather report, the National Meteorological Office (Onamet) forecast the occurrence of precipitation, accompanied by gusts of wind and electrical storms over the northeast, southeast, southwest, Central Cordillera and border regions.
