Santo Domingo.- The Emergency Operations Center (COE) expanded to 7 the number of provinces on green alert and 5 provinces on yellow alert, because one trough that affects the country.
The provinces on yellow alert are Monte Cristi, La Vega, Santiago, Puerto Plata and Santiago Rodríguez
While on green alert There are María Trinidad Sánchez, Espaillat, Monseñor Nouel, Valverde, Dajabón, Santo Domingo, National District.
In that sense, the COE recommended that people refrain from crossing rivers, streams and ravines that have high volumes of water in the provinces under alert.
According to the report from the Dominican Institute of Meteorology, the trough will continue to provide humidity and instability and will receive the indirect contribution of a tropical wave that will pass south of the Dominican Republic.
