COE issues green alert for 9 provinces due to tropical storm Ernesto

The provinces under alert are: La Altagracia, Hato Mayor, La Romana, San Pedro de Macoris, El Seibo, Duarte, Maria Trinidad Sanchez, Monte Plata and Samana.

Santo Domingo.-The Emergency Operations Center (COE) issued a “green alert” for nine provinces, due to the formation of the Tropical Storm Ernestowhose center could pass near the country’s east coast, according to the forecast.

Ernesto is the fifth named storm of the 2024 Atlantic and Gulf of Mexico hurricane season.
