COE increases the provinces on alert for tropical waves to 6

HOLY SUNDAY.– The Emergency Operations Center (COE) expanded the provinces on green alert to six, due to a tropical wave which will be generating heavy downpours during the afternoon and early evening.

The provinces on alert are Santo Domingo, National District, San Pedro de Macorís, San Cristóbal, Monte Plata and San José de Ocoa.

In this sense, people are recommended to refrain from crossing rivers, streams and ravines that have high volumes of water in the provinces under alert.

Santo Domingo this: cloudy from morning hours with showers, thunderstorms and gusts of wind.

Santo Domingo North: Partly cloudy to cloudy with showers, thunderstorms and gusts of wind.

Santo Domingo West: cloudy since midday with showers, thunderstorms and gusts of wind.
