Santo Domingo.- The Emergency Operations Center (COE) discontinued the green alert level for 10 provinces due to possible flooding of rivers, streams and ravines, as well as sudden or urban flooding, due to the fact that the trough moves further and further from the country.
The provinces that are no longer on green alert They are María Trinidad Sánchez, Monte Plata, Samaná, Hermanas Mirabal, Puerto Plata, Duarte, especially Bajo Yuna; La Vega, Monsignor Nouel, Espaillat and Sánchez Ramírez.
The COE took the measure by virtue of the bulletin of the National Meteorological Office, which establishes that by this Friday afternoon, the meteorological conditions of the Dominance Republic will be under the influence of an anticyclone that began to limit the humidity sufficient for the generation of rains, electrical storms (hail and tornadoes) left by the trough in previous days.

For this reason, Onamet maintains that only cloudy generators of local downpours with gusts of wind and probability of thunderstorms will be generated, especially towards the towns of the Northwest, Cibao Valley and Cordillera Central regions, expected until early hours of the night.
The Onamet foresees that for this Saturday the anticyclonic circulation will dominate the meteorological environment, significantly reducing the rains almost nationwide, where only due to the effect of the warm wind from the southeast and the local effects (diurnal and orographic heating) during the afternoon they would be generating local showers. and occasional gusts of wind with a low probability of thunderstorms, over the Northeast, Southeast, Southwest, Cordillera Central and Northwest regions.
While many hours of sunshine and hot temperatures are expected for Sunday, due to the incidence of the warm wind from the southeast, especially in urban and coastal areas.
