Santo Domingo.- The president of the Dominican Council of Evangelical Unity (Codue) valued positively and optimistically the accountability speech of President Luis Abinader, and at the same time observed that it is full of challenges.
Pastor Feliciano Lacen argued that the president should have been more emphatic in saying how he will respond to issues related to the family basket, citizen security, crime, health and food problems.
He considered that now it is up to officials and advisers to make the list of promises a reality, and to the people in a general sense to validate the statistics presented in the speech with reality.

Among the neuralgic issues not mentioned is the Penal Code, the problem of Social Security, among others.
CODUE suggests that in order to face the main social ills, it is necessary that “all the living forces of the country” unite to promote a dialogue of national unity and consensus, that seeks a space for discussion in order to produce a comprehensive development plan. of nation, as Codue has reiterated on previous occasions.
“A national pact with the sectors, politicians, business, unions, community of faith, is necessary and urgent, in which we can all provide solutions to these great national challenges and international threats of war, natural phenomena, and impositions of the global agenda, with moral effect that they want to influence the identity and sovereignty of the Dominican people”, added Lacen Custodio.
The president of Codue opined that in the face of pressure from international organizations in their macabre plans to “unify the island”, it is necessary to continue fighting and strengthening national sovereignty and the separatist ideal of the founders of the Dominican Republic as a free and independent nation.
