From the Disaster Risk Management Department of the Municipality of Lima (MML) reported that the incident affected three positions at the site. The timely action of the firefighters, with the support of the Citizen Security watchmen and community inspectors, managed to control the fire.
No injuries have been reported, but property damage has been reported.. The merchants and customers in the backpack emporium evacuated promptly as soon as the fire inside was reported. Many stayed outside until the firefighters finished the intervention.
Meanwhile, the Urban Transportation Authority (ATU) reported that some modifications have been made to the route of the units that cover routes 404, 405 and 406 of the Morado corridor. They used the Jirón Áncash and the Ricardo Palma bridge towards San Juan de Lurigancho.
