Fernando Pache was chosen as new president of the Chamber of Industries (CIU) in the elections held on November 30. He will preside over the union until 2024.
For the electoral act, a single list was presented under the slogan “For an active, sustainable and productive industry”.
Pache has extensive business experience in the field of sweet foods. He was treasurer, president and secretary of the Food Industry Chamber (Ciali) and was a member of the board of directors of the CIU as member and deputy secretary. He was vice president during the previous administration of Alfredo Antía.
“My objective is to give value to the associated industries, encouraging (entrepreneurs) to convince themselves that it is possible to be an industrialist in our country,” said the new president of the CIU.

Pache began its activity in 1987 in the company La Cosechera Romero Zerboni. Years later, in 1994, he began working in São Paulo (Brazil), in a cocoa processing industry and derivatives for industrial use.
The following year he founded F. Pache SA, sugar importer and distributor and cocoa powder for industrial use and manufacturer of chocolate powdered foods for export. He managed to place products in Africa and South America.
In 2014 he inaugurated silver cocoaa cocoa powder factory for export purposes, which became Brazil’s leading global supplier of this product for industrial use.
