He announced that the strongest harvest season in the province begins in November, December and part of January for dry rice (without chemical fertilizers). For this year in Coclé, the planting and harvesting of some 13,980 hectares between rainfed rice and irrigated rice are scheduled, although it is a lower figure than last year when 15,065 hectares were planted, of which 55% are under irrigation. He said they expect to exceed the scheduled harvest and match the previous year. The province of Coclé heads the list of irrigated rice producers, with an average of almost 8 thousand hectares per year.
