The president of the Federation of Private Entrepreneurs of Cochabamba (FEPC), Luis Laredo, said that the sector considers that a “real economic reactivation” has not yet taken place in the country in the final stretch of the year and, due to the crisis, many companies will be forced to resort to bank loans to pay, for example, the Christmas bonuses.
“We are not seeing a real economic reactivation and really many companies are going to be complicated in paying the Christmas bonus, but we will do it because it is our obligation and in some cases they will access credits to be able to pay,” he said in an interview with the ATB network.

Laredo explained that 2020 was not a good year for the business sector because the country has not yet managed to recover the economic movement of past years and that it was affected by the crisis derived from the coronavirus pandemic.
President Luis Arce affirmed three weeks ago that until the second quarter of 2021 the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) grew by 9.4% and attributed this performance to economic measures such as the payment of the Bond Against Hunger and the creation of the SiBolivia trust. which, in his view, drive economic growth.
