Cochabamba: 9 dead on the roads during Holy Week

CC reiterates its proposal to change justice

As a result of 41 accidents on the roads of the department of Cochabamba, nine people died and 43 were injured during Holy Week, the director of the Traffic Operational Unit, Rensso Mercado, reported yesterday.

“We regret the deaths of the nine people, between men and women; and the 43 injured who are currently in the recovery process, these accidents will be investigated until the true causes are determined, since lives were lost,” Mercado said.

One of the accidents happened on the old road to Santa Cruz, where an elderly person, who was riding a motorcycle, was hit by a vehicle. The blow was lethal, mutilating his leg and the cyclist lost his life.

The police authority indicated that the protagonist driver was apprehended.
