Cocaine hidden in cardboard boxes, This is how the packages with drugs that were transported as a parcel on an interdepartmental bus that traveled the Potosí-Tarija highway.

The anti-drug operation carried out by members of the Special Force to Fight Drug Trafficking (Felcn), led to finding the cardboard boxes with drugs.

They were more than 105 kilos of cocaine hydrochloride those that were hidden in the cardboard boxes inside the parcel compartment of a passenger bus. The discovery occurred in the vicinity of the El Puente community, as part of the “Safe Routes” Operations Plan.

“After a successful operation, on October 19, 2024, in the vicinity of the El Puente community, a road that connects the departments of Tarija and Potosí, anti-narcotics forces intercepted a bus that was transporting 101 packets of cocaine hydrochloride, weighing 105 kilos and 460 grams, hidden in cardboard boxes inside the parcel compartment,” reported Jaime Mamani, vice minister of Social Defense and Controlled Substances.

He explained that the blue bus, with control plate 1296-ARX, was transferred to the Tarija bus terminal for further examination, which revealed three additional boxes with different logos contained a total of 101 packages brick type wrapped in colored adhesive tape.
