Coahuila and New Lion They are the states with the highest percentage of workers who receive labor benefits in the country, indicates an analysis of the Employers’ Confederation of the Mexican Republic (coparmex) Nuevo León, with data from the National Occupation and Employment Survey (ENOE) of the Inegi.
While at the national level the compliance rate of employment benefits is for 65.6% of the workers, in Coahuila and New Lion it is for 87.3% and 82.7%, respectively.
It is followed by the states of Chihuahua (81.8%), Baja California (79.4%) and Tamaulipas (78.8%), which are also located on the northern border of the country, as well as for their export manufacturing activity.
On the contrary, the states with the lowest rate of workers receiving labor benefits are: Oaxaca (37.9%), Puebla (42.3%), Guerrero (45%), Michoacán (46.1%) and Morelos (49.3%).
the director of Coparmex Nuevo LeonCecilia Carrillo López, stressed that to the extent that the federal entities promote economic growth, the generation of formal employment prevails, and employer obligations are met.
“For this reason, the importance of economic growth and the arrival of companies like Tesla, because it creates new employment opportunities, a competitive labor market where workers are benefited with more benefits and better salaries,” he explained.
Carrillo López added that as productivity grows, so do employment and wages. Competition in the labor market encourages employers to pay more attention to the relationship with their workers.
