The Ministry of Management and Innovation in Public Services (MGI) calculates that postponing the release of the final result of the Unified National Public Tender (CNU) will cost the federal government around R$4.7 million more. Initially, the publication of the candidates’ final grades for the contest was scheduled for this Thursday (21st) and was extended to February 11th.
The delay occurs because the Union signed a legal agreement with the Federal Public Ministry, the Federal Attorney General’s Office in addition to the Cesgranrio Foundation, responsible for administering the tests, which made it possible to reinstate 32,260 candidates who had been eliminated into the competition and resulted in a new schedule. The financial impact corresponds to around 3.5% of the global value of the so-called Enem dos Concursos, of approximately R$ 130 million, already considering the extra cost due to the postponement of the application of the tests, from May to August this year, due to the strong rains in Rio Grande do Sul that caused a public calamity in several municipalities, between April and May.
The general coordinator of Logistics for the unified competition at MGI, Alexandre Retamal, explains that the extra amount will cover the correction of these candidates’ discursive tests and essays, based on the results of the objective tests; the evaluation of the titles presented by the candidates and, also, the work of the contest’s hetero-identification committees, which interview self-declared black candidates competing for vacancies allocated to racial quotas; the biopsychosocial assessment (medical expertise) by a multidisciplinary team of candidates with disabilities, in addition to the stage of confirming the condition declared by indigenous candidates.
“This new schedule arrives on this date [11 de fevereiro] because, with these decisions, we need to restart a long process of correcting the objective tests of these eliminated candidates who are now being reinstated. Based on these results, we will correct the discursive tests of these candidates as well.”
Candidates for Technical Analyst of Social Policies in thematic blocks 4 and 5 will also be able to submit their titles on the 4th and 5th of December.
Experience
When commenting on the Union’s legal agreement with the Federal Public Ministry, the CNU’s general coordinator of Logistics, Alexandre Retamal, says he believes that the measure brings more security, transparency and suitability to the continuity of the CNU and that it does not in any way hinder a possible realization of a second edition of the unified competitionwith no set date yet, nor confirmation from participating public bodies. “These lessons learned from everyone will help us to make the next edition much better, both in terms of notices, hiring and advances that we want to bring so that security continues to exist”.
