The Ministry of Management and Innovation in Public Services (MGI) reported, on Sunday night (5), that the percentage of abstention from the second edition of the Unified National Public Competition (CPNU) was 42.8%.
The state that recorded the highest rate of abstention was Amazonas, with 51.2% absence. The Federal District was the federation unit with the lowest percentage of abstention – 30.8%.
In total, 761,545 registered, which means that more than 435,000 candidates attended the objective test of the event.
“The CPNU is much more than a contest. It has already become an innovative project that came out of the paper in President Lula’s current term,” Management Minister Esther Dweck told a press conference on Sunday night.
“It is, in fact, a public policy that is building the public service with the face of Brazil. And it has already increased diversity in public service.”
In the first edition of CNU, the abstention rate was above 50%. Earlier, the minister had already informed that the Expectation was falling in abstentions compared to the 2024 CNU.
The data are preliminary and the Ministry of Management will disclose the consolidated data.
Integrated Center
Earlier, during the afternoon of Sunday, while the candidates took the tests, Minister Esther Dweck visited the Integrated Center for National Command and Control (CICCN) in Brasilia, which monitors the activities, in real time, related to the second edition of CNU.
During the visit, Dweck thanked the mobilized agents: “You are monitoring everything so that the race occurs without any complications. And if there is anything, I know you will be very attentive, so that you can quickly act.”
Next Steps
According to the CNU Noticea Preview of objective test templates will be released on Monday (6). The test book will also be released tomorrow.
Candidates will have October 7 and 8 to file any resources against issues or templates.
The official schedule of the event provides for the disclosure of the final notes of objective tests and the call for the second phase of CNU 2025 on November 12.
On this same date, there will be the call to evaluate securities and for the procedures for verifying the condition declared in the act of registration (racial quotas) and characterization of disability (PCD).
The discursive test will be applied on December 7. According to the calendar, the preliminary result of the discursive will come out on January 23rd.
The contest schedule ends on March 16, 2026, with the beginning of the calls of the approved for appointment and, where applicable, to take the training course.
CNU 2025
The second edition of the Unified National Public Competition offered 3,652 vacancies in 32 federal agencies.
Of the total vacancies offered, there are 3,144 for the higher level and 508 for the intermediate level.
There will be 2,480 immediate vacancies and 1,172 vacancies to fill in the short term after approval of the results, provides for MGI.
