Through a publication in the Official Gazette, the National Television Council (CNTV) announced this Saturday the regulation that establishes the times and the technical and operational standards for the issuance of the strip of the election of the Constitutional Council that will be held next May 7th.
The television slot will be broadcast between April 7 and May 4, both days inclusive. The broadcast will last 30 minutes a day, distributed in two blocks of 15 minutes each, the first starting at 12:45 p.m. and the second at 8:45 p.m. In addition, the regulation is also published in cntv.cl/franja
The CNTV highlighted that in “this electoral strip no participant will have less than five seconds, which is considered an advance that promotes that the citizenry has access to more and better information on the proposals of the candidates.”
Political parties, pacts, independent candidates and indigenous candidates will be responsible for the content they broadcast through their time slot. The delivery of audiovisual material will be from Tuesday, April 4, which may be in person or remote and each participant must designate a legal representative and a substitute to act on their behalf before the CNTV.
The order of appearance of the participants will be determined by a public draw that will be held on Friday the 24th at the CNTV headquarters. All the participants will be present in all the broadcasts of the slot and the order of appearance will rotate periodically.
