Meanwhile, on Abraham González Street, at the other entrance of the agency, 200 corn producers from 10 entities closed the road in request that the guarantee price for this product be set at 7.10 pesos per kilogram, a cost that was established in the last six-year term.

The members of the CNTE arrived shortly after 2 p.m. in a dozen buses and later set up the tents.

Brandon Rosas Pimentel, technical secretary of organization of section 18, maintained that they will be there until the teachers’ demands are met. Serapio Vargas, national president of the Corn Product System, demanded that The guarantee price left by former president Andrés Manuel López Obrador is respected, since they currently intend to pay 1,070 pesos (per ton) to small producers.
