“The union leaders have the obligation to represent the sentiment of our bases. We have sent a letter to the President-elect, Mr. Boric, and also our executive secretary together with the treasurer director of our confederation, he has already had a meeting with the chief of staff of the future Minister of the Interior and we have delivered the list of non-conformities to exercise our work”.
He also added that “let’s not forget that 94% of what is moved in Chile is done through our trucks. Therefore, our obligation is to help deliver information to the new authorities, but that they consider that the number one problem that Chile and we have is crime in all its forms, drug trafficking, terrorism, assaults, banging doors, rapes, then that is the problem to be solved. Violence creates more violence, so these new authorities have to be clear that this problem, number one for Chileans, has to be resolved.
