Almost six million members of the Subsidized Regime, Pensioners and Retirees will now have greater coverage in the health services included in the Catalog of Benefits of the Basic Health Plan / Health Services Plan (PDSS) of the Family Health Insurance (SFS).
The National Social Security Council (CNSS) took the measure in compliance with the provisions of the tenth device of resolution No. 533-01 of October 8, 2021, which approves the expansion of the catalog of health services, including coverage in cases of comprehensive kidney transplantation, breast reconstruction due to cancer, mastectomy for risk reduction, positron emission tomography (PET-CT) and the liberalization of medical prescriptions, among other health services.
The resolution increased the monthly per capita of the Family Health Insurance (SFS) of the Subsidized Regime ascending to the sum of RD$22.05, so that it goes to the sum of RD$259.43, granting the affiliates of the Subsidized Regime, pensioners and retirees, all the benefits and services included in the catalog of PBS/PDSS benefits, which were approved through the aforementioned CNSS resolution No. 533-01.
The CNSS took into account the provisions of article 129 of Law 87-01, which establishes that the Dominican Social Security System (SDSS) will guarantee, gradually and progressively, the entire Dominican population, regardless of their social status. , labor, economic and financial system to which it belongs, a Basic Health Plan, comprehensive.
